God's gift to us is everlasting life through Jesus Christ.
All you have to do is have faith and follow these 3 easy steps...
     Accept, Believe and Confess.

          ABCs Of Salvation

1. Admit That You Are A Sinner.

The Bible clearly teaches that “all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).  Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."  No one born into this world can claim to be completely sinless and deserving of God’s approval.  Because God is completely holy and pure he can not and will not treat sin lightly.  His law demands that sin be punished and the punishment for sin is death.  "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  (Romans 6:23)  All men and women die because all men and women are sinners at heart living in rebellion against God.  The death that the Bible speaks about is not just a one time event, but a continual separation from the God of love and goodness.  Those who die in their sin will enter into eternal separation from God in a literal Hell. (Revelation 20:15)

In order to deal with this problem of sin we must first admit that the problem exists.  No one can be saved without acknowledging a need for salvation.

2. Believe In The Lord Jesus.

Simply acknowledging a need doesn’t solve the problem of sin, but it causes us to want to find the solution.  There are many philosophies and religions that claim to provide answers, but the Bible gives only 1 option and that is to believe in Jesus. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"  (John 14:6)

There is nothing that WE can do to save ourselves.  Jesus is the only person capable of saving men from sin because He is the only one who was, is, and will always be God, "I and the Father are one," (John 10:30).  He became a man capable of being the substitute sacrifice for sinners.  Jesus died not because of the sin He committed (He had no sin), but because of the sin you and I have committed.  He paid the penalty for sin.  The Bible says that in order to receive the gift of salvation and the forgiveness of sins you must believe that Jesus died for YOU! "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life," (John 3:16).

3. Confess The Lord Jesus.

Will you ADMIT that you are a sinner in need of salvation?  Do you BELIEVE that Jesus is the only Savior who came into this world and paid the penalty for YOUR sin?  Then Confess to Him your sin. Confess your belief in Him and with the words of your mouth Confess your acceptance of His free gift of salvation.  "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.  For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:9-10, 13).

Next, let this prayer be a guide that leads you to salvation in Christ...

"Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner. Lord the sinful life that I lived separated me
from you. Lord forgive me of my sins. I know I owe a sin debt that I cannot pay.
Lord I believe that you died on the cross and rose on the third day to
pay my sin debt.Lord I'm sorry for my sins.  I invite Jesus into my life and from this dayforward
I will put all my trust in you, Lord show me how to live a Christian life
In Jesus name, Amen"

Being a Christian means more than just saying a prayer.  When true faith begins in the heart of a person it is revealed through action.  Now that you believe in Jesus and have confessed Him as Lord and Savior He calls you to become His disciple and follow Him.  This is not a journey to earn His favor; He already loves you as much as He can.  Following Jesus is a blessing of living a life of eternal purpose and meaningful worship to our Father in Heaven.  Because God has given you His Holy Spirit you can grow in your knowledge of His will through the Bible and serve Him with your life in the world and in the local church.

We strongly encourage you to get connected with our church family or one near you that preaches and teaches the Bible, faithfully making God’s Word clear and applicable.  Share your new faith with another Christian who can help you to learn and grow in your walk with Christ.  As you continue to see the love of God at work in your heart you will appreciate more and more the great plan of salvation our God has established to bring us back to Him and give us the most precious gift we will ever receive.
